new year(ish), new post

it's been a while.

My plan for 2020 is to move over to wordpress to maximise my potential as a blogger in Australia, (Google Blogger only lets you buy a domain in Canada, UK and the US) whether I make it a business or a hobby. Or a blur of both, I don't think hobby and business is mutually exclusive, but when a hobby becomes a business, of course it should be treated like one. I hope it doesn't mean that it has to own you though, starting and running a business, I bloody hope not; if I came down to it, I want to be owning a business, not a business owning me.

Anyhow, my FEAR of blogging is real. I won't write an essay on that here, but it's held me back in the 6+ years I've wanted to blog, and casually blogged here and there since then but fear was a major road block. I wasn't born with a hustle or insane work mentality, but so many bloggers and entrepreneurs are, that's how they got to where they are, but I'm not buying that. There's a difference between hard work and workaholism, and I don't have the latter in me and by golly I don't think I have to to be a 'successful' blogger. Feel free to comment if you agree or disagree.

Well, I'm staying on Google Blogger for a while until I have the budget to set up a Bluehost domain to host Wordpress.
