Brother's Graduation Dinner

My sister-in-law's Auntie and Uncle hosted a celebratory dinner to commend my brother's success.
Starting with bubbles!
bububububububbububub! (okay. I'll stop)
...

Before helping ourselves to a hearty main course o'ribs, salad, roast, couscous...

Loolie & Nico.

;) sly lil' food snap. This is blogging, not conservativism! Aha!

Cheers big any-sized ears, cus we all know...

Size don't matter! Drink to that! Whew!

It's a pool o' red...

Cake by the ocean served family style...
Look! It looks and tastes like a very innocent, angelic cake, kissed with summery  berries and served on a white plate and a white table...

After a while we wrapped up dinner. Credit to whoever did the dishes that night! And those who cooked!
The hosts let me stay the night in one of their rooms.
Hmm, a shanty youth hostel or a comfy room to myself in their flash house?

(silly sloppy selfie)

...What a no brainer!

Lunch With Loolie & Christmas Displays By David Jones

After an eventful morning of sleeping in and getting lost trying to hunt down green tea soft serve, I met with my sister, Lydia.
We went to a cafe for a lunch of actual substinence and not just empty calories.
But first, coffee x (please excuse the exfoliating burns on my face)
Sipped a delicate cappuccino like a conservative Italian lady. (okay totally stereotypical, I've never been to Italy.)

Lydia had the falafel wrap. I guess she know's that there's life outside planet meat! Mwahahaha!

I went for the mushroom burger and fries. Took aaages to get through as it hurt to chew! Must be all the sweet tooth indulgences. More like sore teeth!

As we digested Lydia went and showed me some Christmas displays by, okay I forget! Sue me. Lydia, who did these displays?

Oh right, David Jones. Ahahaha. Lol.

Just some authentic north pole vibes in the Australian summer.
Queen victoria buildings. It seems like every city department store looks the same; Sydney, Moscow, London, Paris... anyway...

Lydia and I headed to her place. On the way...

Darwin Days (Northern Territory, Australia)

Last July I took a holiday in Darwin and stayed with my brother Jack, his wife and their baby for a week.
1 week of native wildlife, eating my own body weight, swimming in various places, casual strolls, a gloriously warm climate & connecting with nature, all off the beaten track. Not to mention, being shouted red wine on the plane on the way there, and getting to chat with the flight attendants (one career path I'm looking into) and watching 1990 classic
The Witches (eats time) on the plane back.
A picture is worth a thousand words, so I will let the snaps do the talkin'...

Happy travels everyone! Or if at home, home sweet home!
ps this is one of my first blog posts of this blog, so please excuse the beginner nature of the writing & photography :) cheers!
